Must-Read book - Inga Buividavice: Painting for your soul
"Connect with nature and rediscover your inner peace through the art of meditative watercolor painting."

The author—a Lithuanian artist, teacher, and illustrator currently living in Liverpool—guides us into the world of botanical watercolor painting. By experimenting with colors and shapes, we are introduced to the fundamentals of the medium. We learn how to highlight a main subject and discover the play of light, while receiving step-by-step guidance on creating mandalas and floral decorations.
Through painting flowers, leaves, and other natural motifs, Inga Buividavice encourages us to forge a closer connection with nature in the spirit of mindfulness. Through her own example, she successfully conveys a vital message: the essence of creation is finding inner peace and harmony.
In her own words:
"Although art has always been an important part of my life, I only picked up a brush in 2018 while on maternity leave. I started with a 100-day project, painting a watercolor sketch in my sketchbook every day for 100 days and documenting the journey on Instagram. During that time, I learned so much about color, painting, myself, my relationship with the medium, and the process itself. I began to notice the things I loved and analyze why I liked them and what feelings they evoked, then tried to replicate those feelings through art. I started spending more time painting and creating larger works. I draw inspiration from many things, but I am most drawn to nature and natural objects; I love exploring movement and experimenting with geometry and different forms."
The hungarian edition was published by Scolar Kiadó in 2025.
